In The Perfect Tribute, she had her debut TV role the following year. In 1992, her acting career started when she was commissioned to play a role in the movie Basic Instinct. The Firm is where she first made her appearance as the female lead in the film alongside Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the 1990s Gwyneth collaborated with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews for Relative Values. Recently, she was the character Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
